Aries — The "5.8" chimney on Aries at Index, WA. Martin is belaying - thanks for the Index intro man (Apr. 2006).

April 23rd, 2006. Met with our friend Martin for a day of climbing at Index. Our first time there and we were not disappointed: perfect granite with some laser-cut splitters. We started things off on Toxic Shock (5.9) and did an unnamed 5.8 crack to the right. We then moved next door and climbed Who Put The Purr In My Pussy (5.8) as well as The Happy Puppy (5.9). We finished off the day by climbing the four-pitch Aries (a.k.a. The Lizard). Though rated 5.8, that flaring chimney on pitch 3 seemed a notch harder. Great day (even if it would take us 6 years go back LOL).
